Please alert your students that we are still accepting applications for internships in the Public Affairs Department, National Museum of American History.
The Public Affairs department serves as a central point for disseminating information about the Museum to the media and the public. Interns assist with publicity by creating and distributing press materials, responding to public and media inquiries, conducting research, and tracking press clips. Minimum 20 hours/week required between January and April, 2009.

Experience required in media, public relations, or communications is required as are strong writing, editing, and organizational skills. Also knowledge of desktop publishing software, online services, and digital cameras.
