This internship position is for a web-savvy PR/Marketing major. You will be working on helping us develop our online community, BookDivas.com.

Description: Book Divas, the leading online book reading community for Young Adults and college readers is seeking one (1) PR/ Marketing/ English major interns.

Responsibilities:
• Research and develop new internet marketing opportunities for Book Divas
• Interact with members
• Recruit members through viral marketing techniques
• Moderate Book Divas message board
• Assist our team with upcoming contest and new promotion
• Assist our team in developing partnership/ sponsorship opportunities

Contact blogs and other media outlets for publicity opportunities
• Produce Book Divas editorial material, press release
• Review new books
• Maintain Book Divas e-commerce site
Requirements:
• BA or current college student
• Organized, responsible, self-starter with creativity and attention to detail.
• Interest in the literature world
• Must be a team-player
• Good computer skills, including Powerpoint, Excel, Access
• The ideal candidate will be smart, organized, responsible, versatile, and comfortable in a fairly fluid role
• Able to commit 15 to 20 hours a week throughout the Fall 2008 semester.

Not required, but a plus:
Experience in literature, book publishing industry, internet marketing
Basic HTML, experience with Joomla
Design experience
