Cafeabroad.com is the only social networking site designed specifically for students traveling abroad. The site can be used to search and network with abroad students, access city guides full of events and information, blog, share photos and more.

Job Description:
As a regional manager, you have two core job responsibilities. First, you are responsible for updating the cafeabroad.com events calendar on a weekly basis. Postings should focus on content that may be particularly appealing to abroad students. These events may include – but are not limited to – concerts, festivals, weekly markets, theater performances, sporting events and more. Events can be found in local newspapers, city guides, regional websites and other media outlets.
Second, you will work to sell website advertisement flyers to businesses operating in the city where you are studying abroad, i.e., bars, restaurants and retail stores.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
∑ Regional managers are responsible for at least five event postings every week. Content for events should vary to reflect the diverse interests of abroad students.
∑ To be effective salespeople, regional managers must be fluent in the host city’s language. You should be independent, well spoken and able to motivate yourself and achieve results with little supervision.

Café Abroad is looking for college students who are talented writers and have an eye for photography to work for us as travel journalists. As such, your core responsibility is to document your study abroad semester by conceiving, writing and editing pieces that embody your experience.
We’re looking for people who are outgoing, savvy, curious, and eager to explore a new city. Your experiences will give a voice to – and inspire – an online community of thousands of students in the region.

Responsibilities:
∑ Posting at least two weekly articles with photos. The articles can focus on anything from an upcoming event or cultural phenomenon to a restaurant review. Commentaries derived from unique abroad experiences are also encouraged.
∑ Updating the cafeabroad.com calendar by adding at least five events every week. Postings may include -- but are not limited to – concerts, festivals, markets, theater performances, sporting events and more. These events can be found in local newspapers, city guides and regional websites and other media outlets.
