INTERNSHIP – PRODUCTION ASSISTANT Purpose: Photography Studio Production Assistant - for a local photography studio Duties: * Responsible for client album design, client slideshow presentations, basic website updating (website skills not necessary), assist the photographer in artistic production of collages, designing clients thank you and referral cards, Christmas/Announcement/Holiday/Charity card designing, also assisting photographer with basic retouching and compilation of images for specific clients with client’s orders and their accurate completion. * Designing residential real estate brochures, including designing floor plans from measurements. * Flexibility, dependability, and a willingness to enthusiastically work within a changing and fun environment are required skills. *Update social media avenues (Blogger, Facebook, Instagram) Skills/Qualifications: Office Experience will be helpful. Will train the right person for the above description, however intermediate level of Photoshop is a must (advanced would be best) and familiarity with the Mac platform environment is a must. Dependability, attention to detail and must be able to multi-task. Should enjoy working in a small company with a casual style environment. Transportation not required. We are located off Wyndhurst Avenue and within walking distance of Loyola. Computer Skills we are looking for: Adobe Photoshop CS5 or newer, Lightroom 3 or newer, InDesign, Word, Facebook, Instagram, quickly being able to learn programs related to album design. Specific Duties and Responsibilities - Write blogs, game previews, features and cover games for LaxMagazine.com. - Assist in back-end production — such as posting scores, recaps and related links. - Participate in and contribute to editorial staff brainstorming and budgeting meetings. - Conduct interviews and write features for Lacrosse Magazine. Qualified candidates should be journalism and/or communications majors looking for hands-on experience and clips in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of lacrosse preferred, as is experience working in a content management system and with social media. Please include resume and samples of published work.
