Enterprise Community Partners

We have available an ongoing paid intern position with Enterprise Community Partners, a national nonprofit headquartered in Columbia, Md.

The position requires 10-12 hours per week from our office in Columbia, Md. Job responsibilities include:

• Monitoring blogs for mentions of Enterprise or any of its related affordable housing businesses and services; identifying opportunities to join the conversation; collecting and disseminating coverage

• Establishing and maintaining Enterprise’s page on FaceBook, MySpace and any other appropriate social network sites

• Building and engaging a group of former Enterprise employees through LinkedIn and any other appropriate networking sites

• Identifying the most influential blogs in the fields of: 1) community development; 2) affordable housing; 3) financing affordable housing; 4) online giving

• Identifying the most influential podcasts in the fields of: 1) community development; 2) affordable housing; 3) financing affordable housing; 4) online giving

• Investigating and recommending possibilities for our presence on Second Life or other like alternatives

• Monitoring YouTube for coverage of Enterprise and monitoring the use of our videos through YouTube

• Identifying and researching opportunities to expand awareness of Enterprise and increase donations through social media, including Second Life, Twitter, Care2.com, among others

• Investigating and updating online references to Enterprise in Wikipedia, Guidestar, Idealist and other sources

Because of the nature of social networking, the position requires a minimum of two full-time days per week to maintain a steady, active and productive presence. It also requires someone who is fluent in social networking, while exhibiting mature, solid judgment and a keen sense of both the corporate and nonprofit sectors.
