Ashoka is currently looking for highly entrepreneurial students and candidates with a strong commitment to social change. Associates to work in our global headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. Those looking to work in our international offices should apply directly to the appropriate country representative.

Positions are unpaid, though scholarship opportunities are available, and we will gladly work with you to secure funding from your university or an outside institution.

Ashoka is an officially recognized work-study employer for eligible students from Georgetown University and George Washington University.

The Internship
Internships at Ashoka are by nature entrepreneurial, and the experience will vary by program and require your input. It will certainly include:

College Magazine Public Relations

College Magazine is an up-and-coming magazine based out of the DC/Baltimore area that reaches over 120,000 college students at nine top tier universities, including the University of Maryland, George Washington, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, American, Loyola, UMBC, Goucher, and Towson. Written and edited completely by students, College Magazine aims to be the #1 resource for students, helping students network to the top while still enjoying all aspects of the college lifestyle. College Magazine is currently looking for campus representatives for each of the nine institutions.

We are seeking outgoing, creative and dedicated students to be the voice of College Magazine on their campus. Campus representatives are responsible for creating ways for College Magazine to interact with the campus community, from speaking to a journalism classes about writing opportunities to contributing to student group fundraisers. As a part of the Public Relations team, campus representatives are involved with promoting College Magazine giveaways and events on their campus. Reps also oversee the student organization handling distribution to ensure magazines are distributed accordingly throughout the campus. Potential candidates should be familiar with College Magazine and their campus' culture.
