Interested in Online Marketing? Gain practical experience in the areas of
Search, Display, Mobile, Video and Social marketing though assisting in
the creation, execution and optimization of online marketing campaigns for
AOL Brands. This internship will allow you to experience the day in the
life of an Online Marketing Manager through hands on participation in
marketing activities and interaction with a wide variety of AOL staff
through the following activities:

* Assist Marketing team with strategic planning, creative projects,
testing, data analysis and reporting efforts
* Interact with AOL product managers to determine advertising strategy for
new site content
* Participate in meetings with external partners and make contacts within
the industry
* Learn the process for advertising on such partners as Google Search,
Yahoo Search, Bing Search, Facebook, YouTube, Android and Apple devices
and others


* Rising Junior or Senior Mathematics, Business, Economics, Marketing,
Communications, and/or related majors preferred
* Must be familiar with online sites and applications including, but not
limited to the following: Facebook, YouTube, Google, Yahoo and Bing
* Superior communications skills, both oral and written
* Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel
* Well organized, analytical, able to multi-task
* A self-starter with a positive attitude and an interest in AOL sites and
the AOL brand
* Course participation in online advertising, data analysis and statistics
a plus

Harrison Communications, a small but growing public relations agency in Baltimore (Hampden) is looking for interns:

Junior or senior communications, journalism, or PR majors
2-3 part days per week
Hands on work with the press
Duties to include compiling media lists, contacting reporters, writing press releases and newsletter articles
General assistance with client-related projects
Web site updates, knowledge of WordPress desired but not required

Tour dem Parks, Hon!

Tour dem Parks, Hon!
Work with Baltimore's Premier Bike Ride

We are looking for a self-motivated, web-savvy person to help us
maintain our website, Facebook, and Twitter postings as well as
collect information about local bike shops and organizations. Entering
our 10th year for our ride through the various parks in Baltimore,
Tour dem Parks, Hon! is a non-profit dedicated to maintaining and
improving the parks and park activities in Baltimore City. Help us
promote our ride (held June 10, 2012) by giving us your support as our
pr intern. We will provide you with a close look at the greenery in
Baltimore, a new way to get around town (although you don't have to ride a bike to be our intern), and a chance to expand your
resume by working with a well-known event. Email volunteer@tourdemparks.org.

Various responsibilities include:

City orientation of parks/route
Weekly emails blast to a select group of bike shops/bike organizations
Weekly postings to FB/Twitter
Contact with community organizations on the route (emails and pr
material to keep them up to date)
Community outreach to neighborhoods for participation
Develop email list and contact bike groups through email in the
5-state area (MD, DC, PA, VA, DE)
Develop and send press releases to local media outlets
